This exercise, though useful, was not my favorite activity. It is certainly important to be able to determine whether or not a source is legitimate when finding sources for research, and an activity of this sort can be useful for helping students gauge which sites to use/not use. I had learned about the criteria for legitimate websites before, but never had the chance to put it into practice in an activity of this sort. Now I feel that I'll be able to look quickly at a site to determine its reliability when searching for sources.
It's good to hear that you've heard this information before. We as educators never know if students have seen the information we are sharing in class before or not. Glad that you had the chance to put it into action!
