Introduction
Hey Everyone! My name is Leah Henry. I'm originally from middle TN, but grew up in Vietnam. My family is from East TN though, so I feel a big connection to the area. I was home educated up through high school. While overseas I saw a great demand for teachers of English, so I'm interning this next year in ESL. At this point I'd like to teach elementary, but will get a chance to experience teaching elementary, middle and high in the fall, so we'll see what happens! I love to read, spend time outdoors and hang out with kids. I feel pretty comfortable using the computer...emailing, using the internet, making powerpoints, etc. I look forward to learning more in this class.

That is such a great opportunity to be able to spend time overseas. That is certainly on my life "to-do" list! One of my friends in another class taught English in Korea and loved it. She explained how long their school days were and they spent all day Saturday in English classes. Makes me wonderful if American school days should be extended to provide enough time to really learn different languages well. Where are you interested in teaching? Do you want to go back to Vietnam or try somewhere new???
