Evaluating Information Found on the Internet

As a teacher, it is important for me to lead my students to accurate and legitimate websites on the internet when conducting research. The following website provides some useful considerations when determining the legitimacy of a website:

http://www.library.jhu.edu/researchhelp/general/evaluating/index.html

It asks questions to help you determine the author, publishing body, bias, and verifiability of a website, as well as asks whether or not peer reviewed articles are referenced, and how to distinguish between propaganda and misinformation, etc.

I can use this website not only in my own classroom, but for my own research purposes as well.
